MCMS Tuesday Staff Update- August 8, 2023

 Good Morning MCMS,

I hope everyone is having a great day!  Thank you for all of your preparation for our Open House last night and for the school year.  I know yesterday was a busy and eventful day!  Having the power go off in the middle of an event was a first for me!  Thank you for carefully navigating that unique challenge and making the best of the situation! I hope that you will be able to get plenty of time today for your final preparations before our students arrive tomorrow.  Please let us know if there is anything you need or if you have any questions.
We will be meeting at Wightman Church in Prosperity at 12:00 PM for lunch today.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone and having a student free meal with you! After lunch, we will return to school to finish getting ready for students.  We are grateful to Wightman and the volunteers for supporting our school!

Tuesday Updates and Reminders:
  • Morning News Show Test today at 2:30 PM (see Stacey's email)
  • Students Missing Annual Registration: This afternoon, we will be providing you with a printed copy of your HR rosters in your mailbox (by 2:00 PM).  On that roster, we will be highlighting names of students that have started their annual registration.  Katie, Eric, and I will be coming by at the end of HR to collect those students and bring them to the big gym.  Do not send the students by themselves, we will come to your room.
  • Lunch Seating: We have a new seating arrangement in the Cafeteria (thank you Chris and Ms. Lisa!).  Talk with your team today about who will be seating where tomorrow.  If you are the first team to lunch, please combine seating to provide space for the next team to begin seating and Ms. Lisa/Chris to clean up the first area (just like last year).
  • Student Schedules: Up-to-date student schedules will be printed this afternoon and put in your box before the end of the day today.  Any students that are missing classes, please email Eric.
  • RAVE Panic App: I am still working to get an updated list for the RAVE Panic App.  Those who are new to MCMS, I will be in touch with you about getting that app and getting you on our list.  I will run a test for our school as soon as I have everyone added.
  • Facility Needs: Thank you for your patience with the HVAC problems, I know this has been going on since February.  I have been in ongoing communication with the district, and they are working on them they best they can.  If you have any other facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and myself.  If you need desks, please let us know today.
  • Logistics for tomorrow: If you have any questions about overall school day logistics for tomorrow, reach out to your team or me and we will be glad to help.

MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school.
