MCMS Tuesday Staff Reminders - December 12, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Tuesday!  I hope everyone is having a great day and enjoying dressing like a student (might be the best dress day for staff!)!  Thank you for making the final 12 days until winter break fun by participating in our dress days.  I would like to thank the 7th grade teachers for a good but cold field trip to Camp Thunderbird yesterday, we appreciate your dedication in giving students these experiences.

As we continue to prepare for second semester and begin conversations for the 2024-2025 school year, please provide feedback on areas for improvement or new ideas.  We value your input and want to have all voices involved in our school decision making.  Please share with me, your team lead, or any administration information/ideas in the following areas:

• Discussion with Dobyns - I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your ideas, feedback, and improvement suggestions as we close out our first semester.  please sign up using the Discussion with Dobyns Sign Up form.  Please let me know if we need an additional time to talk.
• Ending Quarter 2 and Semester 1 - Thank you for having well planned classes with plenty of instructional activities for students to complete.  Our goal is to have a strong finish to the semester and get ready for a fantastic start in January.  Jared will send out additional end of the quarter/semester grading information later this week.  As you are planning, you can always build in extra iReady time into your schedule.  Movies should not be showed during this time.
• District Draft Calendars: The district will be sending information about draft calendars for 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 later today.  Attached is a copy of all of the drafts.  Look for more information from the district on how you can provide your feedback.
• Substitute Information: Please let Missy and myself know if you have any upcoming absences.  Personal leave will not be approved for the following days: December 20, January 5, and March 28.  Please let me know if you have any questions about absences or upcoming planned leaves.  Thank you for your planning for absences.
• Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know today.
