MCMS Tuesday Staff Update- September 19, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Tuesday!  I hope that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the amazing weather outside, it is nice to get to these great fall temperatures.  We look forward to welcoming our district office visitors tomorrow for instructional rounds.  It is always nice to show off the fantastic teaching and learning that takes place within our building.  Our visitors will be in classrooms for about two hours tomorrow morning.

We will be sending out Grits for Grands information tomorrow, along with a schedule for Friday's assembly.  For Friday's schedule, teams are able to adjust core content time as they need.  As usual, Related Arts time will be set for you. 

Voluntary Sick Leave Bank- Please see the attached form if you are interested in participating in the Voluntary Sick Leave Bank with our district.  Please return forms to Missy in the main office by the end of the day Thursday, September 21st.

• Krystal Wessinger - 9/18 (Happy Belated Birthday!)

• Professional Learning Wednesday (9/20): We will meet at 3:30 PM in the Cafeteria tomorrow for our Professional Learning time.  Tomorrow we will have our second Instructional Delivery Model presentation of the year.  We appreciate the time and energy our staff has devoted to make this a great presentation.  We will have NAS joining us for this lesson.
• Substitute Information: Thank you for communicating with us about your absences and planning ahead.  Ms. Whitley is doing a great job securing subs and getting classes covered.  If you have a planned absence, please make sure you are communicating with your Related Art faculty member to help cover HR and Enrichment.  We know unexpected absences occur and we will gladly help those.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if we can help you in any way.
• Facility Needs: If you have any facility issues, please let us know.  We are putting in work orders daily and hope that we are making progress to a more permanent resolution.  If you have any other facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know today.
