MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - April 30, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Last Day of April!  State testing is here and we are excited to see the growth of our students!  Thank you for continuing to prepare them and getting them focused on doing their best.  We saw growth in every grade level at the spring i-Ready benchmarks and we know that will continue tomorrow!

I wanted to share a bit of exciting news with everyone!  Mary Williams is being promoted to a position at the district level working in Student Services with PowerSchool Data.  We are sad to see her go and appreciate her amazing work with Attendance, School Data, PowerSchool, and everything else she did behind the scenes to make our school run.  Please congratulate Mary the next time you see her, she will be missed! 

Teacher Appreciation Week!

Next week is TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK!  We look forward to celebrating you and your work as an educator.  Each day we will honor you with a token of our appreciation for the hard work you put forth as a teacher and the impact you make on our community.  We will send out a calendar of treats as we get closer to the end of the week.  

We are getting the Appreciation kicked off a little early with Chick-Fil-A Chicken Biscuits tomorrow morning!  Pick up your Chicken Biscuit tomorrow morning when you get your testing materials.  We hope you enjoy!

Staff Action Items

  • Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.  I will be following up to see individual progress on these modules.  I will send reminders to those who have not completed there required modules.

  • Grade Due Date - Final grades will need to be submitted by May 22nd.  
  • Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.

    MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

    Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!
