MCMS Summer Staff Update- July 14, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,

I hope that you and your family have had a great July!  Back-to-school in-service is rapidly approaching and we are looking forward to having everyone back.  Over the next few weeks we hope that you are able to get those final vacations in and enjoy not being on a schedule.  Below is our Back-to-School In-service Agenda for your review.  Please let me know if you have any questions as you look over this document.  We will go over this agenda in more detail at our Opening Session on August 1st, especially our Open House schedule on August 7th.

We would also like to provide you the 2023-2024 MCMS Teacher Handbook to review.  Please let me know if you have any questions about the handbook.  There may be a few updates to handbook as we get closer to the start of the school year and are provided with additional district updates.

Summer Reminders and Updates:

  • Summer Cleaning Update: Ms. Lisa has done an amazing job this summer, the school looks great!  All hallways and classrooms are ready to go!  As you begin getting things organized in your classrooms, please let us know if you need any assistance in moving things around.  If you have furniture or file cabinets that you are not using, please let us know and we can move those out.
  • Summer Calendar Reminders: Below are a few upcoming events to put on your calendar. 
    • New to MCMS Orientation - July 24th - 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
    • Back-to-School Student Registration - July 24th - 1:00 - 6:00 PM
    • Back-to-School Student Registration - July 25th - 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
    • Middle School Bound (6th Grade Teachers Only) - July 31st
    • Back-to-School In-service - August 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th
    • MCMS Open House - August 7th - 5:30 - 7:00 PM
    • First Day of School - August 9th!

MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need! Good Evening MCMS, I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break!  We have an exciting few weeks in December and look forward to several fun dress days to get us in the holiday spirit!  We are also excited to see the great progress our students have made this year during iReady testing next week.  If you need anything over the next few weeks, please let us know.
