MCMS Staff Update- August 3, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,
I hope you are having a great afternoon!  Thank you for all the work and preparation in getting ready for next week.  I know we have had a full schedule of meetings this week and you have been busy getting your rooms organized.  Please reach out if there is anything you need between now and next week.
Thursday Reminders:
  • Place any trash, furniture, or items to be removed in the hallway today.  Today will be the last day that Ms. Lisa and her crew can move those materials.  If you need help moving something, please let us know.
  • Before tomorrow, make sure you sign up for the District In-Service Sessions.
  • MCMS District In-Service
    • Location: MCHS
    • Time: Arrive between 8:00 - 8:30 AM
    • Dress: New MCMS T-shirt and black bottoms
    • MCMS District Introduction: Dobyns will say "Mid-Carolina Middle is" All Staff will say "Student Focused, Community Driven!"
  • Checklist before Wednesday:
    • Complete Vector Training Videos
    • Complete Faculty Handbook Acknowledgement Form
    • Notify Dobyns/Thompson/Joiner if you need any desks or any other facility requests
  • Open House on Monday (August 7th) from 5:30 - 7:00 PM, we will wear our MCMS T-shirts and any color bottoms.
The weekend will be here soon, and I hope you will be able find some time to relax.  Enjoy the festivities at the Little Mountain Reunion on Friday and Saturday.  Several MCMS students will be taking part, including several Band students!

MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!
