MCMS Tuesday Staff Update- September 5, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Tuesday, I hope everyone had a great day!  Thank you for an awesome Pep Rally last Friday, the students enjoyed the game and it was a great way to head into a long weekend.  Next week, we will begin our Enrichment rotation schedule.  Look for more information from Jared on those groupings in the next couple of days.  Thank you for all you will do during Enrichment period.  That time will  offer a great opportunity for students to received even more targeted instruction and support.

    • Wednesday: Leadership Team Meeting at 3:30 PM (Media Center)
    • Thursday: iReady Meetings at Planning

    • Thursday: Volleyball AWAY at B.L. at 5:30 PM

  • Happy Birthday! We wish a very happy birthday to those who celebrate this week!

  • Leadership Team Meeting Wednesday (9/6): MCMS Leadership Team will be meeting tomorrow.  If you are not on the Leadership Team and would like to attend our meeting, you are more than welcome to come.  If you are not involved in the Leadership Team meeting, you have no required meeting.
  • Faculty Family Tailgate- Friday, September 15th: We are excited to host a family tailgate, next Friday evening before the MCMS Varsity Football game.  Our sunshine committee has been busy planning and it will be a great event.  Look for more information from them on sign-ups.  We look forward to seeing all of our families for a fun time! 
  • SLO/Formal Evaluations: We will be setting up SLO Pre-Conferences over the next couple of weeks.  Look for sign-up information for pre-conferences from Dr. Dobyns, Mrs. Joiner, or Mr. Thompson.  Please let Dr. Dobyns know if you have any issues setting up your SC Lead account or initial SLO.
  • Substitute Information: Thank you for communicating with us about your absences and planning ahead.  Ms. Whitley is doing a great job securing subs and getting classes covered.  If you have a planned absence, please make sure you are communicating with your Related Art faculty member to help cover HR and Enrichment.  Also, communicate with the media center to secure a laptop for the sub.  We know unexpected absences occur and we will gladly help those.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if we can help you in any way.
  • Facility Needs: If you have any facility issues, please let us know.  We are putting in work orders daily and hope that we are making progress to a more permanent resolution.  If you have any other facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know today.

Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!  I hope you have had a great week and enjoyed the treats for Teacher Appreciation Week!  We are counting down the days until the end of the year, it will be here before we know it.  Let us know if you have any questions about events taking place over the last two weeks of school.  12 days to go, we can do it! Good Afternoon MCMS, I hope everyone has had a great day and has had a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunshine!  We are quickly moving through the 3rd quarter and excited to see the continued academic growth of our students.  Thank you for having engaging lessons and rigorous assessments that help challenge our students to reach their potential! MCMS Tuesday Update - March 19, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS, We hope you had a great day!  The results are back from i-Ready testing and our students showed amazing growth!  Thank you for developing instructional plans that engage and challenge our students to grow.  I would also like to thank you for your work during enrichment time, your individual conferencing and emphasis on math this semester really showed in the results. We would like to wish our MCMS Academic Team good luck as they compete for the State Championship on Friday.  The students have worked hard to get ready and we would like to thank the sponsors for your dedication to this group.  Let's Go MCMS!
