MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - October 31, 2023

 Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Halloween!  I hope everyone had a great last day of October!  It was fun seeing everyone dressed up today, we will see who the students vote as the best dressed team!  We know they all have a place in their heart for Toy Story!   November will bring a lot of fun activities, celebrations, and events on campus.  In three short weeks, we will get to enjoy our much needed Thanksgiving Break!

Tuesday Updates and Reminders:
  • This Week: 
    • Wednesday: Lockdown Drill
    • Wednesday: Professional Learning - Content Meetings 
    • Wednesday: NCCC Career Day for 8th Grade
    • Friday: Club Day
  • Professional Learning:  We will meet on the 6th grade hall tomorrow for content meetings.  We will begin in the hall at 3:30 PM and then break into our content areas.  You are free to leave once your content area is done meeting! 
  • Lockdown Drill:  We will be conducting a Lockdown Drill tomorrow.  Please make sure that your door is locked, lights off, and students/staff are out of site.  Please do not let students know we will be having the drill.
  • Substitute Information: If you have a planned absence, please make sure you communicate with your Related Art faculty member to help cover HR and a computer ready.  Please contact Mrs. Whitley about Enrichment coverage. 
  • Facility Needs:  Thank you for enforcing the no gum rule in our building, this small step helps keep floors, desks, and other surfaces clean.  Thank you to Ms. Lisa and Chris for keeping our building clean throughout the day.  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know today.

Good Afternoon MCMS, We hope you had a great day!  The results are back from i-Ready testing and our students showed amazing growth!  Thank you for developing instructional plans that engage and challenge our students to grow.  I would also like to thank you for your work during enrichment time, your individual conferencing and emphasis on math this semester really showed in the results. MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!
