MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - November 7, 2023

Good Afternoon MCMS,

I hope everyone has had a great start to your week!  We have an exciting next few days, with our first off campus field trip tomorrow and our annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly on Thursday.  This will be a great experience for our students and we hope it inspires them for future career opportunities.

On Thursday, we will follow the Program Schedule below.  I will send a follow up email with more detailed assembly directions.  Please let me know if you have additional questions that the email doesn't cover.  We will have a lot of guests in the building and look forward to a great program.

• Happy Birthday! We wish a very happy birthday to those who celebrate this week!

• Professional Learning:  We will have the MCMS Leadership Team meeting @ 3:30 PM in the Media Center.
• Hat Day:  Stacey Valentine will be sending information about Hat Day.  She will let you know the procedures for taking money and how to identify students who are able to wear hats for the day.  Thank you for supporting Angel Tree!
• Homeroom Fundraiser Competition:  We will be hosting our first school fundraiser next week.  This will be a "Pie a Principal" fundraiser.  We will ask students to bring donations in throughout the week to support school initiatives and projects.  The top three Homerooms will be invited to pie Eric, Jared, and me on Monday November 20th (Katie is going to be out of town but would have joined us otherwise!).  I will send more details about this by Thursday.
• Substitute Information: If you have a planned absence, please make sure you communicate with your Related Art faculty member to help cover HR and a computer ready.  Please contact Mrs. Whitley about Enrichment coverage. 
• Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know today.
