MCMS Staff Update - January 15 - 19, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Thank you for a great week!  We hope everyone is staying safe in the storms today.  It was definitely an eventful way to start the second semester and I appreciate all of your adjustments throughout the week.  We hope that you get some extra rest over this long weekend and are ready to go for another great week at MCMS!

Make sure you are looking over the 2023-2024 MCMS Calendar for current activities and events on campus.  If we have any changes to the calendar, we will make sure to let everyone know.  

Below are updates and reminders for this coming week, January 15th - 20th. Please let me know if you have any questions about this email, upcoming events, classroom supplies, or anything else.  We are here to support you!

Weekly Reminders

E-Learning Assignments/Attendance- Please make sure you send Mary Williams the name of students who do not complete their E-Learning assignment after the five day period.  She will mark them UNEX for the day.

Enrichment- Thank you to our amazing Math Department for getting our Math Enrichment lessons ready for this semester.  We look forward to seeing the student growth in this area.  Jared will send reminders about holding student conferences during iReady days.  Those conferences will be important for monitoring our student progress and growth.

Afterschool Program starts Tuesday- The Afterschool Academic and Attendance support program will start on Tuesday, January 16th.  We appreciate those teachers who will be assisting and Jared for his organization of the program.  To view the students in this program, use the MCMS Afterschool List - Spring 2024 document.  This will be updated as we add students.

Parent Teach Conferences- Please reach out to those students who had a Semester 1 average of a 61 or below in your classes to schedule a conference with their parents.  Jared has provided you with that data.  If they do not respond via email, please call home to schedule a meeting.  Thank you for spending the extra time at school on the 25th and 26th to meet with these families!

SLO Mid-Conference Meetings - Our SLO Mid-Course Conference Meetings are underway, it has been great talking with several of you and seeing your student progress.  Please sign up for a meeting time that is convenient to you, 2023-2024 SLO Mid-Course Conference Sign Up Form.  You will need to complete the questions under the Mid-Course Conference tab in your SC Lead account.  To access those questions, use this easy guide to find the location of those questions, MCMS SLO Mid-Course Conference Review Questions.
