MCMS Staff Update - January 8 - 12, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Thank you all for a great workday on Friday!  It was nice having everyone back in the building and getting a start on planning for the upcoming semester.  We look forward to a fantastic spring semester and know we are going to continue to see amazing student growth in your classrooms.  Please let us know if there is anything that we can assist you with in your classrooms or if you have any feedback you would like to share with us.  

Make sure you are looking over the 2023-2024 MCMS Calendar for current activities and events on campus.  If we have any changes to the calendar, we will make sure to let everyone know.

Weekly Reminders

Grades and Report Card Reminders- Make sure you look over the reminders from Jared as it relates to Report Cards and Report Card Comments.  Report Cards will be sent home on Wednesday, January 10th.

7 Mindsets- We are in the middle of going over information with the 100% Accountable mindset.  Please make sure we are emphasizing these lessons and building the concepts of the mindsets into our daily instruction.  The 7 Mindsets Curriculum is a core set of values and beliefs for our school.

Core Class Rotation- Just a reminder, we will be rotating the order of Core classes on Monday, January 8th.  Students will use the following order - Core 4 , Core 3, Core 2, and Core 1.  Homeroom, Enrichment, and Related Arts time will remain at the same.  Schedules in PowerSchool will remain the same from the beginning of the year.  We appreciate the adjustments to your day and look to have everyone adjusted to the new routine soon.

Student Email and Schedule- Take a few minutes on Monday to have students check their school email and look over their schedule in the student portal.  It is good to have them clean out those emails and make sure they are regularly checking for new communication.

Ellevation Training Modules - Please make sure you are completing your Ellevation Training Modules.  You need to have the first four modules done before the end of this month.  

SLO Mid-Conference Meetings - We will start our SLO Mid-Course Conference Meetings next week.  Please sign up for a meeting time that is convenient to you, 2023-2024 SLO Mid-Course Conference Sign Up Form.  You will need to complete the questions under the Mid-Course Conference tab in your SC Lead account.  To access those questions, use this easy guide to find the location of those questions, MCMS SLO Mid-Course Conference Review Questions.

• The module completion and reflection should be on different days.
