MCMS Tuesday Staff Reminders - January 9, 2024

Tuesday Updates and Reminders:
  • This Week: 
    • Wednesday: Report Cards sent home, Team Meetings with Dobyns, and Leadership Meeting at 3:30 PM
    • Thursday: Beta Club Parent Meeting and Girls/Boys Basketball HOME
    • Friday: SGA Meetings @ Lunch
  • Happy Birthday! We wish a very happy birthday to those who celebrate this week!

  • School Procedures- Thank you for reminding our students of our daily school procedures.  We also would like to thank you for standing at your doorways between class changes.  Admin will also assist in hallway monitoring.  Below are some important reminders to help make our day run smoothly.
    • IDs on throughout the day
    • No gum or candy
    • No Cell phones between 7:25 am - 3:10 pm
    • Students walking on the right side of the hallway
  • 2nd Nine Weeks Honor Roll- Refer to the email from Wendy Shealy for 2nd nine weeks honor roll.  We will have those awards ceremonies on January 24th.  
  • Bulletin Board Help- Thank you to Krystal Wessinger for volunteering to help with the 6th Hallway.  Please let me know if you are interested in helping on the 7th and/or 8th grade hallways.
  • Unit Plan Modeling- Let me know if you are interested in looking at the Unit Plan concept, so far I have Kelly, Morgan, and Richardson.  Thanks for your help in bettering our practices at MCMS.
  • Mid-SLO Conference - Please schedule your mid conference on the 2023-2024 SLO Mid-Course Conference Sign Up form.  Refer to the MCMS SLO Mid-Course Conference Review Questions document for guidance on completing your needed information.
  • Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.
  • Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.

    Good Afternoon MCMS, We hope you had a great day!  The results are back from i-Ready testing and our students showed amazing growth!  Thank you for developing instructional plans that engage and challenge our students to grow.  I would also like to thank you for your work during enrichment time, your individual conferencing and emphasis on math this semester really showed in the results.     MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

    Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!     Good Evening MCMS, I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break!  We have an exciting few weeks in December and look forward to several fun dress days to get us in the holiday spirit!  We are also excited to see the great progress our students have made this year during iReady testing next week.  If you need anything over the next few weeks, please let us know.
