MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - January 23, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

I hope you are having a great start to your week!  Thank you for taking time to have meaningful conversations with our students during your iReady check-ins today.  That time you are spending will help students navigate through their personal path and put them on their way toward positive growth.  Thank you for committing to this process and we are excited to see the great results.  If you had any issues accessing iReady information, please reach out to Jared or refer to his emails.

Tuesday Updates and Reminders:

• This Week: 
• Wednesday: Academic Awards Day (8:15 8th and 8:45 6th/7th) and Professional Learning - Content Meetings begin @ 3:3o PM in the 7th grade hall
• Thursday:  Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:30 - 7:00 PM (Dinner provided)
• Friday: No Students- Parent Teacher Conferences from 7:30 - 11:30 AM (you can leave after 11:30 AM)
• Saturday: Girls/Boys Basketball HOME

• Happy Birthday! We wish a very happy birthday to those who celebrate this week!

• Academic Awards Ceremony- Thank you for all of your preparation for tomorrows ceremony.  We know our students and parents appreciate your time and effort into making this special.  Mrs. Williams will do a PA call for grade levels to dismiss to the big gym.  We should be okay to have 6th grade transition outside as normal but we will keep an eye on the weather.  
• New Door Access Points- They are slowly replacing the door access points (I believe they have completed the 6th grade main entrance today) to the new scan access, similar to what the 7th grade main entrance is.  We will not be moving our students to the scan cards until next year.  Our security company will be programing the new door key pads with our current code to allow for student access, ASAP.  This may not occur this week but we are working to get this complete soon.  We apologize for the issues that this may cause with student transition.
• Parent Teacher Conferences - Please let us know if you need anything from us for your parent conferences.  We will be providing dinner to you on Thursday and will bring it by to your rooms.  Related Arts will be assisting with letting parents in at our doors.
• Mid-SLO Conference - Please schedule your mid conference on the 2023-2024 SLO Mid-Course Conference Sign Up form. 
• Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.
• Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.
