MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - February 6, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

I hope everyone has had a great day and will be getting a chance to enjoy this sunny weather!  I wanted to let you know that we were successful in reaching our iReady target area for the month of January!!  Thank you for continuing to make this a positive aspect of our students academic journey.  Keep focusing on getting those lessons passed, time on task, and having those individual conversations.  Keep up the great work!!

Tuesday Updates and Reminders:
  • This Week: 
    • Wednesday: Early Release @ 1:00 PM, No school meetings
    • Thursday:  Academic Team Meet @ Hickory Tavern MS
    • Friday: Interims issued, SGA Meetings @ Lunch, and Valentine's Dance After School
  • Happy Birthday! We wish a very happy birthday to those who celebrate this week!

  • After-School Dance Volunteers Needed (Comp Time!) - We are looking for a few teachers to assist in providing coverage for our After-School Dance on Friday, February 9th.  I will give you two and a half hours of comp time for assisting.  Please let me know if you are interested.
  • Mid-SLO Conference - If you have NOT met with me for your SLO Mid-Conference, please contact me for a time this week.
  • Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.
  • Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.

    Below are the remaining Wednesday Professional Learning dates for the Third quarter.  The dates highlighted in yellow will be full faculty.  I will send additional information and reminders.

    Good Afternoon MCMS, We hope you had a great day!  The results are back from i-Ready testing and our students showed amazing growth!  Thank you for developing instructional plans that engage and challenge our students to grow.  I would also like to thank you for your work during enrichment time, your individual conferencing and emphasis on math this semester really showed in the results.     MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

    Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!     Good Evening MCMS, I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break!  We have an exciting few weeks in December and look forward to several fun dress days to get us in the holiday spirit!  We are also excited to see the great progress our students have made this year during iReady testing next week.  If you need anything over the next few weeks, please let us know.
