MCMS Staff Update - March 4 - 8, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

We made it to March!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying a little brighter weather.  We have several events over the next few weeks, please reach out if you have any questions about the logistics or see any potential issues.  We appreciate your ongoing adaptability and flexibility in getting everything done during the school day.

Make sure you are looking over the 2023-2024 MCMS Calendar for current activities and events on campus.  If we have any changes to the calendar, we will make sure to let everyone know.

Weekly Reminders

• Duty-Free Lunch on Friday! - To show our thanks for your preparation, sacrifice, and commitment to our school, we would like you to have a Duty-Free lunch on Friday, March 8th!
• School Climate Survey - We will be completing the annual, SC School Climate Survey on Tuesday, March 5th in Homeroom classes.  Please read over Jared's email for specific instructions.  Let us know if you have any questions.  Teachers will complete the survey during planning time on Tuesday.
• i-Ready Goals - Talk with your students this week about setting goals for our upcoming i-Ready benchmark testing.  Have them set a specific score and follow up after testing.
• Schools to Watch Conference - It has been a good conference with a lot of great information from the speakers and sessions.  Here is a link to a notes document from the conference, SCAMLE 2024.  Let me know if you would like to get involved with Schools to Watch at our school.
• Computer Device Collection Date - April 22nd - We will collect student devices on April 22nd to get ready for State Testing.  All students will become day users at that point.  Stacey and Jared will have more information for this as we get closer.
• Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.
• Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.

• After completing your module, implement one of the strategies and then reflect on that strategy.
• The module completion and reflection should be on different days.
