MCMS Tuesday Staff Update - April 23, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

I hope you are having a great day!  We are a week away from state testing and looking forward to seeing the success of our students.  You have done an amazing job at preparing students and giving them the foundational skills to be successful.  Here are just a few updates/reminders as we get closer to testing.

Thankful Thursday!

We are Thankful for each of you!  As a small Thank You for going above and beyond your support of our students and how you keep our school running, the administration wanted to provide lunch for everyone on Thursday!  We will be providing subs and chips for everyone.  Food will be set up near the tea and water station in the cafeteria.  We hope you enjoy Thankful Thursday!




Early Release Tomorrow

Tomorrow will be our last Early Release of the year, below is our schedule.  Please let us know if there is anything you need.

Staff Action Items

  • Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.  I will be following up to see individual progress on these modules.

Additional Reminders

  • Summer Reading Forms - Remind students to bring Summer Reading Forms back by Friday and make their selection online.
  • Computer Device Collection Date - April 29th - We will collect student devices on April 29th to get ready for State Testing.  All students will become day users at that point. 
  • Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.
  • Next Week: 
    • Monday: Computer Collection begins and Beta Club Forms Sent Out
    • Tuesday: Team Meetings @ Planning and Rebel of the Year Information Due
    • Wednesday: SC Ready ELA
    • Thursday:  SC Ready ELA Writing and MCMS Chorus Concert at 6:00 PM

    Professional Learning- Fourth Quarter :
    Below are the remaining Wednesday Professional Learning dates for the Fourth quarter. I will send additional information and reminders.

    MCMS Staff Update - May 13 -17, 2024

    Good Afternoon MCMS, Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all of our MCMS Mom's have had a great day and enjoyed some much deserved pampering today!  We have made it to the single digits, only NINE more days of school left!  We are excited to kick off our Awards Ceremonies this week, please reach out to Wendy if you have any questions or needs.   We had a fun 8th Grade Dance on Friday night, thank you to all of the staff who worked hard in putting on this great event!  The students enjoyed getting dressed up and having one final dance together before high school. I may have missed something in this update, please reach out if you have any questions about the end of the year events, summer school, summer activities, or anything else.  There is a lot going on and we want you to have the information you need!     Good Evening MCMS, I hope everyone had a restful Thanksgiving break!  We have an exciting few weeks in December and look forward to several fun dress days to get us in the holiday spirit!  We are also excited to see the great progress our students have made this year during iReady testing next week.  If you need anything over the next few weeks, please let us know.
