MCMS Staff Update - May 6 - 10, 2024

Good Afternoon MCMS,

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!  We are so excited to send the next week honoring all of your dedication, time, and commitment to our school.  You dedicate your time and energy into making sure our students have all the tools they need to be successful in life.  We hope you enjoy the treats we have in store for you, these are small tokens of our appreciation for you!  By the way, we only 14 days to go! We can do it!

Teacher Appreciation Week 2024!

We hope you enjoy all of the tasty treats we have planned for you!  We truly appreciate your service and dedication to our community!

Make sure you are looking over the 2023-2024 MCMS Calendar for current activities and events on campus.  If we have any changes to the calendar, we will make sure to let everyone know.  

Below are updates and reminders for this coming week, May 6th - 10th.  Please let me know if you have any questions about this email, upcoming events, classroom supplies, or anything else.  We are here to support you!

Staff Action Items

These are to be complete this week or reminders that related to district initiatives. 

• Surge Protectors - Make sure that surge protectors are plugged directly into a wall outlet.  You should never plug one surge protector into another surge protector, this is a fire hazard.  When surge protectors are not in use, please move them toward the outlet and out of the way of students walking.  
• Ellevation Training Modules - Please complete your Ellevation modules for Semester 1 and Semester 2.

Additional Reminders/Updates

• Instructional Goals for 2024-2025 - We have gotten off to a great start on our planning for the 2024-2025 school year.  We will be focusing more on this planning at our Team Meetings this week.  Please start thinking about school wide instructional goals for next school year.  These instructional goals will drive our daily instruction and how we continue to grow our students.
• End of the Year Meetings with Dobyns - Meetings will begin the week of May 13th, spreadsheet will go out next week.  This is a time for you to give me feedback from the year, suggestions for next year, or overall improvements you would like to see at MCMS.  My door is always open and I welcome your feedback.  MCMS is a special place and my goal is to keep the traditional of excellence that has been established!
• Facility Needs:  If you have any facility needs, email Eric, Katie, and me.  If you need desks, please let us know as soon as possible.

• After completing your module, implement one of the strategies and then reflect on that strategy.
• The module completion and reflection should be on different days.
